Shipping Information

All orders from Fabric Lady MTL are shipped within Canada using trusted carriers such as Canada Post and Chit Chats.

Shipping Methods
Orders are shipped using Canada Post prepaid boxes or letter mail, depending on the size, weight, and type of fabric ordered. In some cases, Chit Chats may be used as an alternative carrier to ensure efficient and reliable delivery.

Letter Mail
Smaller fabric orders may be shipped via letter mail when eligible. This option is available for lightweight orders and provides an economical shipping solution. Letter mail shipments may not include tracking.

Prepaid Boxes
For larger fabric orders, we use Canada Post prepaid boxes to ensure safe and secure delivery.

As a general guideline:
- A Small Prepaid Box fits approximately up to 12–18 meters of standard 45” wide fabric, depending on fabric thickness.
- A Medium Prepaid Box fits approximately up to 24–32 meters of standard 45” wide fabric, depending on fabric type and folding.

Large prepaid boxes are not used, as Canada Post prepaid boxes have a maximum weight limit of 5 kg. Due to this weight restriction, the same amount of fabric that would fit into a large prepaid box can typically be shipped using a medium prepaid box without exceeding the allowable weight.

Larger Orders and Non-Prepaid Boxes
For orders that exceed the capacity of prepaid boxes, larger non-prepaid boxes may be used. In these cases, shipping arrangements and costs will be calculated after the order is placed. Customers will be contacted before shipment to confirm shipping details and pricing.

Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the quantity, weight, and type of fabric ordered. Different fabrics may require different packaging to ensure safe delivery.

Processing Time
Orders are typically processed within 2–5 business days. During busy periods or new fabric releases, processing times may be slightly longer.

Delivery Time
Once shipped, delivery times depend on the carrier and destination. Fabric Lady MTL is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather conditions, or circumstances beyond our control.

Hold & Ship Option
Returning customers may choose the “Hold My Order (Ship Later)” option at checkout to combine multiple purchases into one shipment.

Fabric will be held for up to 45 days from the date of the first hold order. During this period, customers may place additional orders to fill their selected box.

Once the box is filled or the 45-day hold period is reached, customers will be contacted and billed for shipping before the order is shipped. Fabric Lady MTL reserves the right to ship held orders once the hold period has ended.

Tracking
Tracking information will be provided once your order has been shipped, where available.
